The Goonies (グーニーズ) is a platform video game developed and published by Konami, released for the Family Computer on Febuary 21, 1986. It is based on the movie of the same name. It later received a sequel, The Goonies II: Fratelli Saigo no Chousen. Despite its sequel being released internationally, The Goonies was never released for the Nintendo Entertainment System outside of Japan, but saw two releases for the arcades in North America with VS. The Goonies for the Nintendo VS. System and the Famicom original would release for the Nintendo PlayChoice-10 in late 1986.
