Character Soft Co., Ltd. (キャラクターソフト) was a Japanese video game publisher founded sometime in 1990 as a subsidiary of Sanrio. The publisher was specialized in releasing video games based on the Sanrio characters. Character Soft's games were primarily targeted at young children and the retail prices for their software releases being affordable compared to the competition. Character Soft would cease operations in 1994.

Splash screen

All software releases from Character Soft features a splash screen of their company logo. The player can skip this by pressing reset on the console and be booted directly to the title screen.
