    Sanrio Carnival (サンリオカーニバル) is a puzzle game developed by Scitron & Art and published by Character Soft and released for the Family Computer on November 22, 1990 in Japan. It is the first video game to be published by Sanrio subsidiary Character Soft and the first Famicom game to feature the Sanrio characters. A Game Boy version would release a year later in 1991. A sequel would release in 1993 as Sanrio Carnival 2.

    Reception

    Sanrio Carnival was covered in the November 23, 1990 issue of Famitsu magazine. Four reviewers gave it scores of 7, 6, 7, and 8, with a total score of 28/40. Reviewers compared the game to other puzzle games such as Columns and Klax.
