Choujikuu Yousai Macross (超時空要塞マクロス) is a licensed horizontal shoot-em-up game based on the anime of the same name. The game is notable for being one of Namco's earliest collaborations with Bandai.
Gameplay
The player controls the VF-1 Valkyrie spaceship, fighting off hordes of enemy ships from the Zentradi army. The Valkyrie can change between three forms — fighter, GERWALK, and Battroid, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
The game consists of a single, infinitely looping stage.
