Family Computer Network System

From FamiWiki

The Family Computer Network System is an add-on for the Family Computer released by Nintendo in 1988. It used a proprietary dial-up modem service to access features such as stock trades, game cheats, jokes, weather forecasts, horse betting, and bank withdrawals. While the product ultimately wasn't financially successful, it gave Nintendo experience into making a future network-based peripheral, the Satellaview.
