    Gradius (グラディウス) is a horizontal shooter game developed and published by Konami, released on the Family Computer on April 25th, 1986. It is a port of the arcade game with the same name which released on Febuary 2nd, 1985. Gradius also released on a variety of consoles and computers such as the PC Engine, MSX, and Game Boy. It was released for the NES in America on December 13th, 1986, and later released in PAL territories on November 30th, 1988. Gradius was originally developed as a sequel to Scramble, which is referenced in later releases.
