Hi no Tori Hououhen: Gaou no Bouken (火の鳥 鳳凰編 我王の冒険) is an action-platformer developed and published by Konami, released for the Family Computer on January 4th, 1987. It is based on the Hi no Tori manga series. A similarly titled MSX2 game was released by Konami around the same time, but shares no relation to the Famicom game apart from its source material.
Reception
Hi no Tori was covered in the January 9th, 1987 issue of Famitsu. It received a 26/40 from Famitsu's panel of reviewers. It also received more in depth coverage later in the same issue, with stage maps and guides for the first half of the game.
