    Super Mario Bros. (スーパーマリオブラザーズ) is a platform game developed by Nintendo R&D4 and published by Nintendo and released on the Family Computer on September 13, 1985 in Japan. The game would release outside of Japan for the Nintendo Entertainment System on October 18, 1985 in North America. Later the game would release for the Family Computer Disk System on February 21, 1986 in Japan.

    Gameplay

    The player takes control of Mario, a plumber on a quest to rescue Princess Peach from King Koopa. Mario navigates through various levels filled with enemies and obstacles, with the objective of reaching the flagpole at the end of each level before the timer runs out. Along the way, Mario collects coins, power-ups, and confronts Koopa in castles. The game features 8 worlds with 4 levels each with a total number of 32 levels in order to rescue the princess.
