Nintendo World Championships 1990
Nintendo World Championships 1990 is a competition game developed by Nintendo for use in the Nintendo World Championships 1990 event. It contains 3 games on the cartridge which includes Super Mario Bros., Rad Racer, and Tetris.
Players are given a set time limit (the default being 6 minutes and 21 seconds) to get as many points as possible. The 3 included games all have objectives. In Super Mario Bros. the player must collect 50 coins, in Rad Racer the player must complete the course, and in Tetris the player must get the high score in Type-A.
The Nintendo World Championships cartridges are considered the holy grails of NES collecting. While its unknown how many grey cartridges exist, as of September 2020 the highest confirmed number on a cartridge is #353 and its estimated that the number sits around 350 to 400. Meanwhile the gold cartridge variant is known to be one of the rarest NES games with only 26 confirmed to have been made.
